5 Practical Ways to Keep the Flu Away
Whenever fall comes around, I start thinking about preparing for the flu season. Besides the flu shot, there are many other ways to fight to keep the flu away. Here are 5 Practical Ways to Keep the Flu Away.
The most important thing to remember during flu season is to invest in bacteria-killing products, stock up on food rich in antioxidants that reduce inflammation to fight against viruses and find natural sleep aids and stress reducer to prevent catching the flu in the first place.
5 Practical Ways to Keep the Flu Away
Here are five stylish and practical approaches to maintain a flu-free lifestyle:
1. Sponge Bath
Sponges are the dirtiest item in the home or office, so why not clean them before using them again! The SpongeBath is the first and only dual-purpose sponge holder that continuously stores and cleans your sponge, killing 99.99% of odor-causing bacteria in 10-minutes. It’s practical, easy to use and stylish. I suggest it for the office. Instead of your sponges going missing at work, they can take a bath while getting rid of bacteria.

2. Psagot Sinai Red Wine
Red wine contains a high level of antioxidants that fight against viruses and reduces inflammation. Natural ‘flavonoid’ compounds found in red wine help battle germs. Read more here about the study on how a glass of wine can contribute to beat colds. Also, red wine aids in sleep and stress reduction. Psagot Sinai is one of my favorite wines with a stylish bottle with a seal on it.

3. Pressed Juicery Pink Lemonade
The Pink Lemonade is part of a limited edition collaboration by Pressed Juicery (a Los Angeles juicery) for Vogue’s 125th anniversary. This stylish pink juice is made of tropical superfruits such as camu-camu, goji berry, honey, lemon, and pitaya as well rose water amounting to 90% of Vitamin C per serving. Vitamin C cuts the risk of colds and flu. Interestingly, it’s been proven it is better to get Vitamin C from fruits and food than taking a supplement. Rosewater reduces inflammation. Also, this juice is great for glowing skin.

4. Paromi Chamomile Lavender Tea
This dynamic combination of French lavender and Egyptian chamomile not only smells good but helps reduce the day’s stress and aids in good night sleep.

5. Ashwagandha Thyroid Balance & Anxiety Soother
Fall means year-end, which means deadlines. Either personal ones (New Year resolutions) or work deadlines. Deadlines add to daily stress and anxiety. Moon Juice’s Ashwagandha Tonic is a mineral-dense adaptogen that aids in alleviating anxiety and improves sleep.

I love the sponge bath! I am definitely going to have to put that on my wish list. I always find myself throwing out sponges and buying new ones because I think of how disgusting they must be.
