5 New Year Goals As A Blogger

5 New Year Goals as a Blogger by Liz in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Lifestyle Blogger

This ‘5 New Year Goals As A Blogger’ post was originally published in January 2018 and updated in January 2020

Time flies! I can’t believe it’s already the new year. So here are my new year goals as a blogger. I don’t like resolutions. Incidentally, I have the same resolutions every year. EVERY YEAR – on top of the list is “I will not press snooze” when I wake up but let’s face it! That’s NOT HAPPENING. I am not a morning person. So this year, I will set realistic boss babe goals to accomplish.

New Year Goals As A Blogger

1. Wellness Goals: Detox. Recommit to Fitness. Eat mindfully.

Wellness Goals for 2018 by Los Angeles Lifestyle Blogger, Liz in Los Angeles

Detox. By detox, I don’t mean to starve myself. I mean eating and drinks things that are detoxifying and probiotic. My simple detox plan is simple. Start the morning with hot lemon water on an empty stomach and Bio K Plus probiotic yogurt. I’m going to add charcoal juice, turmeric, and ginger to my diet. Detoxing to get rid of that sluggish feeling, sinus congestions and dark circles under my eyes.

I’m recommitting to my fitness by maintaining a balance between my cardio workouts (boxing and dance) and low impact strength training (barre, Pilates, and yoga). I’m adding stretching (I often neglect, but the Vyper Vibrating Fitness Roller will help) and improving my posture (easier said than done).

Eat mindfully. I eat clean. Most of the time. But I think eating mindfully is more important. Eating with intention will decrease overeating, and you can still enjoy the food you love even truffle fries (in moderation). I’m trying hard to get there. To eat mindfully. Check out my post on the best fitness studios in LA and Wellness Tips by The Experts.

2. Style Goals: European Wardrobe Style

Style Goals for 2018 by Los Angeles Lifestyle Blogger, Liz in Los Angeles

I’m planning on decluttering my closet. European women keep their wardrobes versatile, classic and timeless. That’s my intention for 2018. Buy less often and only buy timeless and luxe essentials. One leather jacket, one black pants that fit perfectly, one classic pair of heels and so on. You get the picture. I don’t want to go through my closet and think about what was I thinking. But instead, that was such a good investment.

3. Travel Goals: Adventure More

My Boss Babe Goal for 2018 is to travel not to escape life but to learn more about the world and myself. In 2017, I traveled to Southern Spain, Morocco, Gibraltar, Israel, and Greece. In each place, I learned something new. I hope to continue going to places less visited in 2018. I still have India, Malta, and Hong Kong on my travel bucket list. I’m going to make each trip an adventure.

4. Beauty Goals: Ways To Become Low Maintenance

Wellness Goals for 2018 by Los Angeles Lifestyle Blogger, Liz in Los Angeles

Another Boss Babe Goal for 2018 is skincare. I believe taking care of your skin means less makeup, which means low maintenance. I’m strict about cleaning my skin at night and can’t fall asleep at night with makeup on. I have started using, FOREO Lune 2, which is a facial cleansing brush and anti-aging system designed to eliminate blemishes while addressing aging skin concerns.

5. Boss Babe Goals: Be Bad@ss

I don’t know what the future holds for bloggers, but I hope my office life is over and done with.  I’m determined to be a Bad@ass Boss Babe in 2018.  I want to build a successful online business that I love. I’m going to be devoted, do the work and stick to the plan no matter what. I have learned to take risks, ask for help and overcome my doubtful fears.

What are your goals for the new year? What do you think the new year will hold for blogging? I would love to hear your thoughts.

With gratitude,

Liz

I know it’s Los Angeles and all but what do you think about an alternative to botox and fillers? 💉

@empathwellnessweho is your answer to Botox alternative in Los Angeles since they specialize in the Cryo Mini Face Life aka Cryo Thermal Shock (Tshock).

Cryo TShock is a non-invasive cold and heat treatment for skin rejuvenation, fat freezing and intensive pain relief.

I’m totally obsessed with this Botox alternative. I love how glowing my skin was afterwards and totally looked like I got cheek fillers. I’m going back for chin and tummy reduction. I love non-invasive treatments for obvious reasons (no needles 💉 necessary).

Do you love gel or regular manicure? How about a French plant based semi gel manicure 💅?!

Few months of gel manicure left my nails damaged. But I found the solution. @manucurist is a French clean beauty brand introducing Los Angeles to Green Flash, Manucurist’s first LED Nail Polish. The best part is that it’s super easy and gentle to remove. You can do it at the comfort of your home.

@m.o.n.a.j of Manucurist creates super cute nail art popular in France. Los Angeles say hello to plant based semi-gel manicure 💅

Is there one place that you go to to shop, eat, photoshoot, get your ears studded, hang out and even workout?

📍 @westfieldcenturycity is that place for me.

You have to try the cocktail-inspired specialty drink created by @redstrawteabar at @westfieldcenturycity in Los Angeles.

Hands done one of the best boba in Los Angeles. We choose Fancy Daisy Boba (Jasmine green tea with fresh lemon enhanced with striking natural colors from butterfly pea) and Green Mojito
(Special jasmine green tea mixed with mint and key lime). Both boba drinks were super refreshing on a hot day in Los Angeles.

The truth is . . . . .

@pure_barre workouts look like they’re easy but they are actually hard. Since barre workouts target muscles in ways that aren't always used everyday.

Love barre workouts since barre improves postural alignment, flexibility, core strength, while it’s low-impact. The barre classes are easy on my knees, which I have an issue with.

Btw, Alyssa at @purebarreculvercity is such a gem.

So who is coming to the next class with me?

I got treated to a once in a life experience today, thanks to @popandbottle!

@popandbottle brought a personalized café experience right to my front door. This “five minutes of peace” involved a made-on-the-spot Pop & Bottle iced latte and a puppy playtime relaxation.

This cutest experience ever was to celebrate the launch of their new Super Concentrates. My personalized latte was absolutely delicious 🤤
