I know you, you wouldn’t necessarily guess from its name but The Butcher’s Daughter is a plant-based restaurant. The Butcher’s Daughter is the best bicoastal vegan Restaurant. It is a ‘vegetable butcher shop’. It was opened in NYC as a vegan cafe with a juice bar. Now, there is one on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice.
The Venice location is an expansion of the NYC location. It has a juice bar, espresso bar, a bakery, a huge communal table as a vegan-friendly marketplace.
Best Bicoastal Vegan Restaurant
I went there with a friend for dinner and sat in the open-air terrace, which is perfect for people watching as well as watching the sunset on the palm trees in Abbot Kinney. They dim the lights around sunset, which gives the restaurant a romantic vibe.
We started off with juices: Rubies in The Dust (beet, carrot, ginger, plum, flaxseed, rosemary) and Water Flower (watermelon, fennel, cactus pear, honeydew, lime, lavender). But lately, I love lavender juices/lattes. We ordered what seemed to be the most popular dishes on the dinner menu: Kale Chips, Sweet Potato Crab Cakes, and The Buther’s ‘Burger’ & Fries. The food was so delicious and filling that left no room for dessert.
The interior is designed beautifully with lots of natural light for photo opts. This is a perfect place to end a day of shopping in Abbot Kinney.
It is definitely worth a trip there again for the Sunday Brunch menu.
