The Red Carpet Facial: How Celebs Get Ready for Award Season
This Red Carpet Facial post was originally published in January 2019 and updated in January 2020
Dr. Anita Patel’s office invited me to try the Red Carpet Facial. The Red Carpet Facial is how celebs get ready for an award season. It is the reason why so many people in Beverly Hills are walking around with glowy skin. But what’s the Red Carpet Facial?
The Red Carpet Facial
This specialized facial at Dr. Patel’s Office uses radiofrequency, which is a form of electromagnetic energy. The device used at Dr. Patel’s office is called VENUS RF. The radiofrequency from VENUS RF generates thermal heat. ‘The heat causes a controlled injury to the tissue that triggers the body’s natural wound healing process.’ The treatment stimulates collagen, tightens and rejuvenates the skin.
My Experience

Dr. Patel’s assistant, Mina, performs the Red Carpet Facials. Both, Dr. Patel and Mina told me the treatment feels like a hot stone massage. And, they were right. I was afraid it would be painful, but on the contrary, it was very relaxing and calming.
First, Mina applied a gel on my skin. Then she used the Venus RF in a circular motion while monitoring of skin temperature on the Venus RF. Finally, she applied a cooling mask, which I left on for the rest of the day. Viola, we were done after 20 minutes. (To find out more, check out my Instastories under the Spa Day highlight).
My skin had a very healthy youthful glow and cheeks looked more sculpted after the facial. I highly recommend this treatment. PS: To see maximum results, you will need 6-8 treatments. Skin tightening results are seen 3 months after the treatment.
Why It Is Appealing

It is a non-surgical treatment with zero downtime. It’s safe for all skin types. You can see immediate results. Anyone who wants to walk with a rosy glow is a candidate for this treatment (except for those with pacemakers or underlying metal).
Dr. Anita Patel

Dr. Anita Patel is a Board Certified plastic surgeon practicing in Beverly Hills, California. In 1997, she graduated from the University of Michigan. Dr. Patel received her M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School in 2001. In 2007, she traveled to Thailand as a Regan Fellow with Operation Smile. Operation Smile is a volunteer organization performing cleft lip and palate surgery on children. Dr. Patel has participated in fundraising events that provide reconstructive plastic surgery services for patients.
Dr. Anita Patel’s office is one of the chicest but also friendliest offices in Beverly Hills. Dr. Patel is so sweet. She’s probably one of the only plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills who believes less is more. I have been going to Dr. Patel’s office for laser hair removal and was gifted with this facial.
