01. Things to Do in LA in January: Museum of Illusions






Museum of Illusions is an Instaworthy must-see spot in Los Angeles located in Hollywood. This pop experience is perfect for the whole family, friends hanging out, and a fun date idea. You can research posing ideas on Instagram before you head out there. There are also fun posing ideas posted on the wall by each installation. There are two exhibits: The Upside Down exhibit and the 3D Illusions exhibit. You can create memorable photos at this pop-up since it brings out your creative side.
Insider tips: Head over to the Upside Down exhibit first since there is a separate line for that exhibit, which builds up throughout the day. You’ve 4 minutes per room in the Upside Down exhibit, which is not a lot of time if you’re there with the whole family. So, I suggest researching pose ideas before you get there. This way you have an idea of what kind of pictures you want to take and will save time. You can wander through the 3D section freely with no time restriction. Tickets: $12-$42.
02. Things to Do in LA in January: Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration
Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day at California African American Museum. It’s a full day of art culture activities planned for the whole family with keynote speakers, music, and a children’s march. There are food trucks and DJ-provided music to get your groove on. This happening in LA on Monday, January, 15 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Cost: Free.

Rooftop Cinema Club at the Santa Monica Airport has kid-friendly Wednesday matinees for only $5 per car. The regular screenings on most other days start at $32 for two people. They got all their all-time favorite movies screened at the rooftop cinema. Movies like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Black Panther, Fight Club, and Shrek.
