Interview with Trina Turk & Mr. Turk
I was invited by Macy’s to meet Trina Truk and her husband, Jonathan Skow at South Coast Plaza Macy’s regarding Trina Turk & Mr. Turk’s New Collaboration with Macy’s.
Interview with Trina Turk & Mr. Turk
Trina Turk, the designer of Trina Truk and Jonathan Skow, the designer of Mr. Turk, have both created collections for Macy’s, the Trina Turk x INC women’s collection and Mr. Turk x INC men’s collection. Both collections are now available online and at 186 Macy’s stores.
Trina Turk and her husband, Jonathan Skow, founded Trina Turk in 1995 as a women’s contemporary clothing line; followed by a men’s clothing line called Mr. Turk. Since then, Trina Turk has evolved into an iconic California lifestyle brand.
The brand’s style is a combination of bold colors mixed in with vibrant black-and-white prints. If you are going to wear Trina Turk or Mr. Turk, you can’t be shy! You must LOVE color and WANT to stand out. You will get noticed if you are wearing a Trina Turk caftan or a Mr. Turk suit. The style is heavily influenced by the Los Angeles lifestyle, the Palm Spring vibe and all of their exotic travels.
The Turk x INC Collection is no different. Both collections have a lot of tribal and vibrant patterns mixed in with bold summer colors. The exclusive collections include two great swimsuits as well as matching top and bottom. They are great for travel (jersey so no wrinkles) but also can be work attire (if you dare). The only difference between their regular seasonal collection and the Turk x INC Collection is the price points (The Turk x INC Collection is at $14.98 to $129). That’s the great thing about Macy’s – it makes stylish collections more affordable.

MY INTERVIEW WITH TRINA TURK AND JONATHAN SKOW
Click on the video to find out where they find their fashion inspiration, their thoughts on influencer marketing and what they look for in a collaboration. (Apologies for the quality of the audio).
I found the fashion power couple to be very inspirational. They seem very fun to be around, and I would love to collaborate with them again.

THE FASHION SHOW
Macy’s did an amazing job creating the mini-fashion to showcase the new collections. The fashion show was a huge success with the audience. It ended with a meet and greet with the designers, mocktails, a fun photo booth, and a sunnies station. To view the entire fashion show: click on CBGRAPHY.
What I Wore

I went with the style aesthetics of the designers. I chose a bold color jacket with a lace top and paired it with a Trina Turk plaid pants with a frill at the bottom.
