I had been searching for where to find Aussie-Inspired food in LA. So grateful I found Bondi Harvest. This hidden cafe is located in an industrial part of Santa Monica, where you don’t find that many restaurants. It was referred by a friend and we decided to go there for lunch. I absolutely fell in love with its Aussie beach vibe and the flavorful healthy food.
Where to Find Aussie-Inspired Food in LA

It’s a cozy cafe with a communal table and surf-inspired decor.

We choose to sit outside in the alleyway dining section, which is right next to Tastemade studio (global community of food & travel lovers). If it gets a little breezy, they provide blankets (that is, if you’re not a germaphobe).

The food is “locally sourced produce, cooking seasonally and eating healthy, along with an exceptional coffee offering”. I highly recommend the Salmon Tartine and Kombucha Kick Smoothie. The Roasted Carrots and Grilled Halloumi looked delicious, too. I can’t wait to go back to try the brunch dishes. Take a look at the menu.

This place is the perfect Sunday Funday location. YogaGlo is next door. You can get your sweat on at a yoga class at YogaGlo then head over to Bondi Harvest for one of their famous bowl like the “Rainbow bowl” (turmeric quinoa, fermented veg, avo, carrot, chimichurri cauliflower rice, wilted kale, soft boiled, sesame salt, nori). Bonus, there’s a wall mural with a rad background in the alleyway for the selfie lovers.
Australia has always been on my travel bucket list. This cafe made me finally think about planning a trip there. I mean, who doesn’t want to see kangaroos?!
If you’re not local then I suggest the Bondi Harvest Cookbook (on sale) and visiting their blog filled with tons of Aussie-inspired recipes.
