Best Workout Classes in Los Angeles
01. Bünda, The Best Full Body Workout Class in Los Angeles
PC: Bünda PC: Bünda
Yep, Bünda. It’s one of the best workout classes in Los Angeles. Bünda is a boutique fitness studio in West Hollywood founded by two personal trainers. They designed a full-body workout class, but there’s a lot of emphasis on glutes exercises since Bünda means butt in Brazilian Portuguese.
I went on a Sunday to the Total Body Workout class, instructed by Kevin. The workout is divided into two sections: 1/2 Stairmaster + 1/2 resistance training. This class is an intense workout. You’ll sweat and be sore afterward but will feel so good. The studio is very new and Insta-worthy. Free parking is available (which is amazing considering they’re located in West Hollywood). They provide you with a face towel as well as a towel to wipe the equipment. I attended this intense class via ClassPass. Each class is $30 (specials going on during January with $15/class). Skip this class if you have knee issues (due to the Stairmaster).
02. SWEATHEORY, The Restorative Workout Class in Los Angeles

This studio loves to make people sweat w
The Crystal, Reiki, Sound Healing class with Katie on Saturday at 6:30 pm is the most relaxing yoga session ever. I had gone to a Kundalini yoga class with a sound bath (read more here) but not a healing class. This class is a mix of guided meditation and Reiki healing. Katie places crystals on you while a sound bath is playing. The yoga studio has infrared lights and a Hamalyian salt wall that helps with breathing.
But wait! Why is this one of the best workouts in Los Angeles? Since meditation has a huge impact on your overall health. I slept so well the night I took this class. It is an amazing class that I highly suggest for anyone who has sleeping issues. Next time I go to this studio, I want to try an infrared sauna session. I attended this relaxing class via ClassPass. Each class is $25. Parking is not the best in this area.
03. BODY BY SIMONE, The Most Fun Workout Class in Los Angeles
How about trampoline cardio? Body by Simone (BBS) is a boutique fitness and personal training studio located in New York, London, and Los Angeles. Simone De La Rue founded BBS, which is loved by many celebs. BBS offers four signature classes: 1. Trampoline Cardio; 2. Hips, Thighs, Buns; 3. Full Body; and 4. Dance Cardio. The classes are dance-inspired but it is for all levels. This is the most fun of the workout classes in Los Angeles.
I attended the Trampoline Cardio class at the Brentwood location. It is a low impact cardio workout (good for knees and joints) that increases lymphatic flow. Trampoline Cardio is a “high energy workout in interval choreographed bouncing, on a spring free rebounder, with intermittent full-body strengthening.” This is a great class for anyone who loves feeling like a kid again and those who dislike or can’t run. According to the American Council on Exercise, the trampoline workout has the same benefits as running and improves balance. But wait? What if you fall? But that’s the fun part of it. The Brentwood location is located in the trendy Brentwood Village with tons of eateries nearby. I attended this high energy class via ClassPass. Each class is $28 at the Brentwood location.
04. Paris Pilates, The Best Low Impact Workout Class in Los Angeles
I have to admit what drove me to Paris Pilates was the decor, but it soon became one of my favorite studios. The staff is friendly. The instructors always pushed me to the max. This studio is for you if you love an awesome French playlist, looking for a vigorous workout without any potential injuries, and a clean studio. I highly recommend this studio to men who want to try pilates. Don’t let the pink ceiling fool you! I have seen more guys at this pilates studio than any other one.
But don’t forget your grip socks since you can’t workout without them. If you do forget, don’t worry. They sell cute ones at the front desk. You can find nearby cafes (like Dayglow) for a quick pre-workout coffee and restaurants (like MIXT) for a post-workout meal.
05. RUMBLE BOXING, The Trendiest Workout Class in Los Angeles
Photo Credit: Rumble Boxing PC: Rumble Boxing PC: Rumble Boxing
This boxing class is one of the best workout classes in Los Angeles because currently the trendiest workout class in Los Angeles. Rumble is a boxing-inspired group class. The popularity of this studio is due to celeb endorsements and social media ads featuring Insta-models but the studio does live up to the hype.
There are two segments with 10 rounds: 1. boxing bags and 2. the floor (resistance training). The resistance training segment is a combo of HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training), and METCON (metabolic conditioning). If you’re new to boxing or need a refresher, there’s a mini-training of the six basic boxing punches at the beginning of the classes. I love how each of the punching sequences is projected on the board since you can’t get lost in which punch comes next. The studio is dark and the music is loud. While you’re waiting for the class to start, it does seem like everyone is waiting for a modeling audition. But the class is not intimidating. Everyone is there to work out a sweat. I almost forgot to mention, this studio was created with Instagram in mind so be ready to pose.
You will need boxing gloves and wraps. They do sell them at the front desk. The wraps are for $8 but they are so worth it since they are much easier to wrap than traditional boxing wraps. Parking is available in the building structure for $2. Each class is $32 (but for new clients, it’s 2 classes for $32).
06. AirFit – Los Angeles, The Most Unique Workout Class in Los Angeles
Location: West Hollywood (Third St/La Cienega)
My initial reaction to the class was to walk out! It was too challenging! If it is your first time taking AirFit class, understand it is going to challenge you (possibly your second and third classes). But when you get the hang of it, that when the fun begins. It’s not only fun but addictive. Dancers will get a hang of this class quickly. This class is for you if you want to push yourself out of your comfort zone and have no fear of heights.
Sneakers or socks are not required during the classes. But you do have to keep your jewelry off. Each class is $30 for new clients or $99 for a month. It’s located in a fantastic spot on 3rd St to find post-workout fuel like Kreation a few doors down the studio.
07. Health House, The Most Intense Workout Class in Los Angeles
Location: West Hollywood (Melrose/La Cienega)
It’s one of a kind workout. Health House combines rowing and strength training for a total body workout. On one side of the room, there are rowing machines and on the other side benches with weights. The class is dark and loud, so if you don’t like it, this studio is not for you. But if you’re looking for an energetic and intense workout, the workout classes at this studio is perfect for you. Everyone in the class seemed to be a regular and know each other. The studio has a juice bar.
A single class is $29, with current promotions going on for monthly passes. UNPLUG Mediation is across the street. Alfred To-Go is in the alley downstairs.
08. Element Fitness, The Most Personalized Workout Class in Los Angeles
Location: Beverly Hills
Element Fitness is a multidimensional experience. It’s a 1:1 personal training using EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation). EMS sends electrical impulses to your muscle fibers and increases the intensity of strength training. So the workout is only 20-minutes, but it’s an equivalent of an hour or two. It tricks your body into thinking you’re working more intensely. Workout clothes are provided since you have to fit into a suit connected to electric impulses. The workout is followed by a myofascial massage, which feels amazing. This workout is expensive, but it saves time, and you’ll see results faster. You can personal attention.
Since this is a luxury gym, the prices reflect that! Contact the front desk for the rates. But don’t forget to use my code “liz20” to get 20% off.
