The 7 Best Workout Classes in Los Angeles
From trampoline workout classes to cutting-edge EMS training sessions, Los Angeles is home to some of the trendiest and most innovative workout classes around. Whether you’re looking for an invigorating cardio session or a chance to express yourself through movement, Los Angeles has plenty of options when it comes to finding a unique way to stay fit.
Here are the best workout classes in LA that’ll help you stay fit while having a blast!
01. Bünda, The Best Full-Body Workout Class in Los Angeles

Yep, Bünda. It’s one of the best workout classes in Los Angeles. Bünda is a boutique fitness studio in West Hollywood founded by two personal trainers. They designed a full-body workout class, but there’s a lot of emphasis on glute exercises since “Bünda” means “butt” in Brazilian Portuguese.
I went on a Sunday to the Total Body Workout class, instructed by Kevin. The workout is divided into two sections: 1/2 Stairmaster + 1/2 resistance training. This class is an intense workout. You’ll sweat and be sore afterward, but will feel so good. The studio is very new and Insta-worthy.
I was invited to attend this workout class by the studio. Free parking is available (which is amazing considering they’re located in West Hollywood). Each class is $30. Skip this class if you have issues going up/down stairs due to knee issues.
02. BODY BY SIMONE, The Most Fun Workout Class in Los Angeles
How about trampoline cardio? Body by Simone (BBS) is a boutique fitness and personal training studio located in New York, London, and Los Angeles. Simone De La Rue founded BBS, which is loved by many celebs. BBS offers four signature classes: 1. Trampoline Cardio; 2. Hips, Thighs, and Buns; 3. Full Body; and 4. Dance Cardio. The classes are dance-inspired but it is for all levels. This is the most fun workout class in Los Angeles.
I attended the Trampoline Cardio class at the Brentwood location. It’s a low-impact cardio workout (good for knees and joints) that increases lymphatic flow. Trampoline Cardio is a “high energy workout in interval choreographed bouncing, on a spring free rebounder, with intermittent full-body strengthening.”
This is a great class for anyone who loves feeling like a kid again and those who dislike or can’t run. According to the American Council on Exercise, the trampoline workout has the same benefits as running and improves balance. But wait? What if you fall? But that’s the fun part of it.
Plus, the Brentwood location is set in the trendy Brentwood Village with tons of eateries nearby. I attended this high-energy class via ClassPass. Each class is $28 at the Brentwood location.
03. Paris Pilates, The Best Low-Impact Workout Class in Los Angeles

I have to admit, what drove me to Paris Pilates was the decor, but it soon became one of my favorite studios. The staff is friendly. The instructors always pushed me to the max. This studio is for you if you love an awesome French music playlist, you’re looking for a vigorous workout without any potential injuries, and you like exercising in a clean studio.
I highly recommend this studio to men who want to try pilates. Don’t let the pink ceiling fool you! I have seen more guys at this pilates studio than any other one.
But don’t forget your grip socks since you can’t work out without them. If you do forget, don’t worry. They sell cute ones at the front desk.
You can find nearby cafes (like Dayglow) for a quick pre-workout coffee, and restaurants (like MIXT) for a post-workout meal.
04. RUMBLE BOXING, The Trendiest Workout Class in Los Angeles

This boxing class is one of the best workout classes in Los Angeles because it’s currently the trendiest workout class in the city. Rumble is a boxing-inspired group class. The popularity of this studio is due to celeb endorsements and social media ads featuring Insta-models, but the studio lives up to the hype.
There are two segments with 10 rounds: 1) boxing bags and 2) the floor (resistance training). The resistance training segment is a combo of HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training), and METCON (metabolic conditioning).
If you’re new to boxing or need a refresher, there is a mini-training of the six basic boxing punches at the beginning of each class. I love how each of the punching sequences is projected onto a big board, so you won’t get lost when it comes to which punch is next.
The studio is dark, and the music is loud. While you’re waiting for the class to start, it does seem like everyone is waiting for a modeling audition. This studio was created with Instagram in mind, so be ready to pose. But the class is not intimidating. Everyone is there to work out and sweat.
You will need boxing gloves and wraps. The studio sells them at the front desk. The wraps are $8 but they are so worth it since they are much easier to wrap than traditional boxing wraps.
Parking is available in the building structure for $2. Each class is $32 (but for new clients, it’s 2 classes for $32).
05. AirFit – Los Angeles, The Most Unique Workout Class in Los Angeles
My initial reaction to this class was to walk out! It was challenging! But it’s on this list for good reason.
If it’s your first time taking an AirFit class, understand that it’s going to challenge you. But when you get the hang of it, that’s when the fun begins. It’s not only fun but addictive.
Dancers will get the hang of this class quickly. This class is for you if you want to push yourself out of your comfort zone, and you have no fear of heights.
Sneakers or socks are not required during the classes, but you do have to keep your jewelry off.
Each class is $30 for new clients or $99 for a month. It’s located in a fantastic spot in West Hollywood on 3rd St, so you can find post-workout fuel at restaurants like Kreation a few doors down from the studio.
06. Health House, The Most Intense Workout Class in Los Angeles

Health House is a one-of-a-kind workout class located in West Hollywood at Melrose/La Cienega. It combines rowing and strength training for a total body workout.
On one side of the room, there are rowing machines, and on the other side, benches with weights. The class is dark and loud, so if you don’t like that atmosphere, this studio is not for you. But if you’re looking for an energetic and intense workout, this studio is perfect. When I attended, everyone in the class seemed to be regular and many of them knew each other. The studio also has a juice bar.
A single class is $29, with current promotions going on for monthly passes. Alfred To-Go is in the alley downstairs, so you can grab coffee nearby.
07. Element Fitness, The Most Personalized Workout Class in Los Angeles
Located in Beverly Hills, Element Fitness is a multidimensional experience. It’s a 1:1 personal training session using EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation). EMS sends electrical impulses to your muscle fibers and increases the intensity of strength training.
The personalized workout is only 20 minutes long, but it’s equivalent to an hour or two of intense exercise. The EMS machine tricks your body into thinking you’re working out more intensely.
The workout is followed by a myofascial massage, which feels amazing.
Workout clothes are provided since you have to fit into a suit connected to electric impulses. This workout is expensive, but it saves time, and you’ll see results faster.
Workout Classes in Los Angeles – A reminder …
When it comes to workout classes in Los Angeles, always remember not to compare yourself with anyone else in the class. You should always go at your own pace. Most likely the people who are outpacing everyone else in the class are personal trainers or fitness models, since it is Los Angeles after all.
